FAQ
Do members need an account?
Yes, but it takes a minute and the bare minimum: a name, an email address (confirmed with a code) and a password. Then they open the invite link and, if required, enter the PIN.
Does location update with the app closed?
Yes, when the member allows it and the operating system permits it. Sharing can be stopped at any time with STOP SHARING.
What does "age of the position" mean?
Every pin shows how long ago it was taken (e.g. "2 min ago") and how accurate it is, so you instantly know whether it's current.
How much battery does it use?
It depends on the accuracy level: Low and Medium are designed for long shifts, High for moments when you need maximum detail.
Can I use FindMe with my employees?
FindMe is for coordinating teams, not for monitoring workers. If you use it with employees or contractors, you are the data controller. You must inform them and follow employment law (in Italy, art. 4 of the Statuto dei Lavoratori; elsewhere, your national rules and any works-council agreements). Members always start and stop sharing themselves.
Can it be used with minors?
FindMe is not designed to locate children or teenagers. On school trips and camps, we recommend using it among teachers, leaders and staff.
Does FindMe replace 112 or radio?
No. It is a coordination tool that works alongside radio and phone. In an emergency, always call 112 or your local emergency number.
Where is data stored?
On cloud infrastructure with European-grade safeguards, in line with the GDPR. The location trail is deleted after 24 hours.
